JJ is 9 months old!

Our baby boy is 9 months old! Where has the time gone? It's been amazing watching him grow and learn. He's babbling so much these days and even has a few words mixed in amongst the baby talk, "up", "hi","woof" and "roooar". He still loves to scream as much as ever and enjoys making us laugh. He loves table food now and we love having dinner all together. Every day is better than the next and we're looking forward to the first birthday, which will be before we know it. He is the absolute joy of our lives!

Happy Father's Day

JJ and I planned to take John to Color Me Mine in RSM so they could make painted hand prints for John to keep as a special reminder of his very first father's day. We all had a wonderful time and it fit the "art" theme that kind of developed for the day. Happy Father's day to my amazing hubby and JJ's incredible dada!

Santa Ana Zoo

We took JJ to the Santa Ana zoo. I was so surprised to see all the different types of monkeys. We were so happy that there were so many monkeys because they are JJ's favorite!

Making art for Father's Day

I thought it would be great to give John a painting from JJ for father's day, little did I know JJ would have SO MUCH FUN doing it!! I snapped a ton of pictures of JJ creating the art and then put them on a digital "brag book" for John to take with him to work. John loved it and the painitngs are now in his office.

Zoomar's

We took JJ to Zoomar's petting zoo in San Juan and boy did he love it! He loved touching all the animals. The poor little guinea pigs squealed when he grabbed their fur. We'll be doing the pony rides for sure next time we go back.

I found JJ sitting up in his crib during his nap! I of course had to take some pictures and was clapping for him I was so excited. I am sure JJ was thinking "what the heck, mom!"

Impression Session

We went to Fired Up in San Clemente to get an impression of JJ's little feet and hand prints. It was so much fun (thanks Monica!!). I think we're going to try and do something like this every year, as long as JJ wants to.

JJ is 8 months old and Elijah comes to visit!

These little boys first met when JJ was just 2 weeks old! I just can't believe JJ is 8 months old now! Look how much these two have grown. I know they're going to be best buds some day, just like their daddies.

John Jr.'s Baptism

Godparents and Fr. Craig Butters
John Jr. was baptised by Fr. Craig Butters, the same priest who performed my confirmation ceremony and who was a priest at our High School. I was pregnant with JJ when I was confirmed Catholic and Fr. Craig asked us if he could do the baptism when our baby was born. It was such an emotional and spiritual experience. We were so happy to have our family and friends witness such a special day in JJ's life. And we were so blessed to have Bill and Traci Goshen, and Kate Toman and Chris Moriarty as JJ's godparents. We were so proud of JJ, he was such a good boy during the entire ceremony and seemed to be having a good time too!

My First Mother's Day

We spent most of mother's day moving and unpacking but I was just so happy to be celebrating my first mother's day with my hubby and baby boy. What a special day for us moms!

JJ crawled!!

We were so excited to see our little guy doing the "army crawl"! He was going after some packing labels and sharpie marker while we were in the middle of our move. My parents, brother Rick and sister Amy were all there to see it too! We didn't get an pictures of it, but did get it on film! We were SO proud!

JJ's first room

Here are a few pis of JJ's first room. It was a bittersweet move. We are so grateful to be in my parents home, but sad to leave the first place we brought JJ home to. We will always have such wonderful memories of 4111 City Lights.

Sea World

We decided to go to down to Sea World on a whim. I am so glad we did! JJ loved it, he especially loved looking at the penguins. We also got to meet miss Ava Elizabeth Bitterlin. She's a doll!! JJ was so in love. The exciting day really tired the two babies out.

JJ's Easter Portraits

Happy Good Friday Everyone! I took JJ to Sears to get his very first portraits. He actually had such a good time. The photographer was the best and had him giggling and smiling the entire time. I never thought I get such good pics at Sears :) I'm so looking forward to JJ's first Easter! He already loves his little Easter basket.

JJ meets the Easter Bunny

The Aliso Viejo Community Association put on an Easter Egg hunt and the Easter Bunny was there too! JJ was very interested in the furry bunny!

March 24th, JJ is 6 months old!

It's truly amazing how time flys! We cannot believe our baby boy is already 6 months old. We can still remember every detail of the day he was born, it doesn't feel like it's been 6 months at all. He's grown and changed so much since September 24th. He's eating solid food, has likes and dislikes and loves to squeal. Our hearts haven't stopped growing since the day he made us into a family of three. We're having the time of our lives!

Swallows Day Parade

The Sanders' love to celebrate The Swallows day Parade and have invited all of us to join in on the fun! We've gone the past two years and hope to attend every year from now on, it's so much fun!! Lots of cowboys and beer of course! JJ loved miss Alex Bohn. He kept trying to give her kisses and was so happy once she planted on on his cheek.
